made in SCHONBACH in the early 30s
SCHONBACH was a region of the former Czech Republic where made the first Hofner, Framus, Klira and many others and where many instrument workshops were located.

This model, possibly a Hofner, is made entirely of solid wood:
Solid spruce top,
Maple back and sides
Hand-varnished

The sound is powerful, dynamic and warm, an excellent pre-war instrument.

Body height: 73mm
String length: 650mm

Non-original adjustable floating ebony bridge, new D’addario XS 10-47 bronze phosphorus strings

Some wear and minor dents, cracked varnish, cracks restored by luthier, which gives it its “Antique” look, but in good condition considering its great age.

It has been restored and tuned by a professional luthier with 30 years’ experience. No additional costs, ready to play.
